Humidity Sensor for Bathroom

This switch automates turning on the bathroom fan after taking a shower and shuts off automatically when the humidity has cleared:

I like this rather than the timers since it works by itself and you don't have to remember to do it.

  1. I found this while my build was in process. you and I seem to be looking at the same shit. I am considering buying one of these for the general bathroom. I don't expect a 11 year old boy to remember to turn on AND off.

    1. One of these days they will finally make a automatic fan switch with a **ahem** smell sensor.

  2. I find myself telling my kids to turn on the fan every single night! I did not know these existed! I look forward to following your progress. I am building a Ryan Homes Avalon in Maryland. Visit me here: http://ryanhomesjourney.blogspot.com/

    1. You've been added :-)

All kinds of helpful/fun things you can do with switches (geeky side coming out there)

  3. I am in! I definitely will be buying these for the three bathrooms upstairs-I had no idea they existed! Would have made life in my current home much more peaceful. :)

    1. It will be interesting to see how well they work. I might suggest buying one first and seeing if it works okay. That is what I plan on doing and then I will add it to the other restroom that has a bath.

  4. I'm interested in how well this will work. It might be added to the ever growing list of things to buy for our Florence.
