Fill in the holes

The sewage pipe has been covered and lot has been roughly graded in the front and on the sides.

Called the PM to kindly ask that he double check the sewage pipe to confirm that everything is sound.  I was assured that it was good to go.  Having a basement backup is one of the top things that I want to deal with!

The slab is scheduled to be poured tomorrow, weather permitting.  There is a 40% chance of rain later in the day so time will tell.

    1. Yeah, it is nice and it even has a drinking fountain! That is a big deal if you have kids running around.

    2. We need to figure out how to get them to install some swings too, but I can't visit our house with out taking our 3 year old for a stop at the park.

    1. Thank you. It should be enough for the kids and us without being too much of a maintenance burden.

  3. Yeah, I think the way the house is placed looks good. It pretty even on both sides with a little more where our main side yard will be to the west.

  5. You "Called the PM" I am jealous. I would trade the attic ladder for the privilege of being "Allowed" to have the phone number of my PM. The frustration of this far exceeds an attic ladder.

  7. I love that you brought up the drain issue. PM has to know that came via me. We're almost done, and I still have no real complaints about him. I've had issues, but he addresses them all. I can't even imagine not being able to call him like Stuart. That probably would have been a deal breaker for me.

  8. I absolutely positively would NOT have built a Ryan home had I known that I can't have a direct phone # of the person responsible for building the largest comittment of my life.

    1. Sorry Stuart, I know it is a sensitive subject and I agree that it would definitely be a problem for me as well. There has to be a balance there where you can call the PM or at least have a direct connection and not inundating them with calls. They shouldn't disallow contact with the PM just because a few people cannot have the common sense to call only when necessary. The Ryan reps should deal with those people individually if they abuse the direct contact with the PM.

Hang in there. I think your house is looking great and you will enjoy it after the fact.
